TUI PRANICH BIOGRAPHY

International designer Tui Pranich draws upon a lifetime of travel and living experiences and upon a lifelong passion for architecture, interior decoration, fashion, and style.

The son of an international banker and a style-conscious, Swiss-educated mother, Tui was exposed at an early age to the jet-set lifestyle and the grand homes, estates, and palaces of wealthy and prominent family friends in the United States and Europe. Born in Thailand and schooled in Switzerland and Connecticut, he earned a degree in architecture from Cornell University, the third generation of his family to do so. Following graduation, Tui worked for architectural and design firms in Boston, New York City and Palm Beach before deciding to focus on interior design and establishing his own office, Pranich & Associates in Palm Beach, Florida, in 1983.

Tui's 30-year career includes design projects for billionaires, pop stars, film celebrities, and royalty-his star-studded client list includes Jennifer Lopez, Shakira and Francis Ford Coppola. His portfolio presents a range from furniture to decorative accessories, from Vermont ski chalets and Palm Beach mansions to Caribbean retreats, New York townhouses and Paris pied-a-terres. In addition to residential work, Tui is applies his creative talents to luxury hospitality projects, such as the Setai on Broad Street in the New York City. His other projects encompass home furnishings showrooms in Chicago, New York, Miami, and Dania, Florida. Tui Pranich's work has been featured in many national and international publications.

Maintaining homes in New York, Palm Beach, Miami, and Paris, and keenly aware of the best in international style, Tui is constantly on the go, shopping for high-end private clients and absorbing inspiration from around the globe.

Whether working in traditional, transitional and contemporary modes, Tui brings a unique sensibility to his designs. Unlike many interior designers for whom furnishings and decorative elements are an end in themselves, he is keenly attuned to how life is lived in the spaces he designs. Tui is committed to giving his clients a high quality of life; in his view style translates into aesthetic and sensory pleasure and into the art of living well.
